STRIDE

STRIDE is a non-profit, charitable, community based vocational rehabilitation program founded in 1983. STRIDE is the only Halton-based organization whose primary purpose is to serve the employment needs of individuals facing mental health and addiction issues.

Holy Cross HELPS

(Helping Ease Local Poverty and Suffering)

HELPS is a volunteer group of Holy Cross Parishioners which functions under the oversight of the parish priest to provide emergency food assistance to Georgetown residents regardless of religious affiliation. The assistance is in the form of food vouchers redeemable at Food Basics, and the value of the vouchers is based on the composition of the client family. Funding is provided by monthly collections, by generous donations from parish schools, the Catholic Women’s League and by occasional “In Memoriam” gifts.
